I'm not sure you would need one. It is hard to tell if it is the Y chromosome that dictates male or if it is the presence of just a single X.
That would be theoretically for humans - I have no idea how it works in Komodo Dragons.
It does not work that way in komodo dragons, nor many other species of crustaceans, reptiles, and birds.
In humans, male is the sex with two different sex chromosomes, and female is the sex with two similar sex chromosomes. The mother can not pass on the chromosome needed for the offspring to be male became the female doesn't have it in her own genome. The man has chromosomes for both male and female in his genome, so the sex of the offspring is determined by which sex chromosome the father passes on through the sperm. This is called the XY sex determinant system. It is only one of the several sex determinant systems in higher animals.
Komodo dragons uses a different sex determination system call ZW, With Komodo dragons female is the sex with two different sex chromosomes, where as the male is the sex with two similar chromosomes. The komodo mother has both sex chromosomes in her genome and the komodo father doesn't. So the sex of the offspring is determined by which sex chromosomes the mother passes on through the egg.
There are still other sex determinate systems with other species. In some animals, there is only one sex chromosome, no separate male or female chromosomes. The sex of the offspring is determined by how many copies of the same sex chromosomes the offspring has.
In yet other animals, sex is not determined by genetics at all. Both make and female can have exactly the same genome. Rather the sex of the individual can be determined prenatelly, or changed postnatally, purely by environmental factors.
The meaning of male and female is quite different at a genetic level between different species.
If the genomes of Mary was so structured as to enable her to give virgin birth to an offspring of different sex than herself, she must have genetic sex determinant system quite fundamentally different from any other human, to the extent neither her nor her offspring could possibly be accommodated in the homo sapien species using any definition of species familiar to biology. Born of such a mother, Jesus himself would certainly be genetically incompatible with any woman other than his mother.
So Dan Brown's da vinci code, by insuinuating Jesus had offsprings, implies, whether he knew it or not, that either Jesus wasn't born of a virgin, or he was a literal mother fucker, which figuratively amounts to the same thing.
