Perhaps. Occasionally I get a little crazy and have some actual hope for the human race, but then I see news headlines like "US Government To Shut Down 'cause Fuck Obama" or something like that, and said hope is revoked.

Now that I think about it, you're probably right. All the world is is basically the power grabbers vs the peons. Oh well, like Carlin said, I'm just along for the ride.
