you bleed too much.
Psykhronic, i know it predates Obama but that it what he should worry about ,why hospitals just pull those prices from their ass
Raeven, You are not listening to me, Anyone who wants health care should have it and if you don't want it you should not have to get it

Man I really love it when people spew shit that they know nothing about, it gives me a reason to feel good about myself, knowing that somewhere out there there is always at least a group of people who know less than I do on at least a topic if not many more.
At least you don't try to hide the fact you're an egocentric individual with zero regard for anyone other than "me me me me me." Doesn't mean you get any respect for that stance except from other egocentric mouth-breathers who share your same me-centric mindset, and those are people who will probably gladly leave you in the shitter should you ever find yourself in it.
Seriously. "I'll pay for myself." Yeah, you clearly aren't aware that a broken arm without insurance will cost you around $12,000. The Invisible Pink Unicorn help you if you get an actually serious injury or illness. And enjoy also being given minimal amounts of care when the hospitals see you have no insurance and therefore they have no guarantee you'll be able to pay them and therefore they have no reason to dump extraneous resources on treating you. And you'll STILL end up with tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt.
Yeah. You have fun paying for yourself.

Also, I love how you're whining about people not listening to you when it's been explained rather clearly just why your argument is just plain stupid. "Control the health costs..." is exactly what Obamacare is attempting to do. Hospitals have to eat those costs when uninsured morons like you think "durrr i'll never need dis cuz i runs a lot herpaderp" end up needing intensive care to save their lives or fix problems that can, do, or will disable them and can't pay off the bills for the treatment. There's a reason why you can claim medical bills as tax deductions; because it's an incentive to use that money to instead pay off the hospitals, because the maintenance needed for those extremely complex, precision-geared machines is really high. The premiums for insurance for lawsuits that the hospitals have to pay for malpractice are ridiculously high [and they STILL have to eat most of those costs]. The costs of paying their staff, especially their highly-educated doctors, are extremely high. The electricity costs for all those machines is extraordinarily high. Then, people like you come in, rack up tons of costs, and can never pay them back even a quarter of what is owed them, people on the order of hundreds of thousands if not millions a year, and as a result the hospitals have to charge an arm and a leg to make up for these costs.
Uninsured assholes not paying their fucking bills because they were too stupid and short-sighted to get some god-damn medical coverage is why health care costs are so high, and why insurance companies demand so much for their own premiums in order to cover the rising costs of medical care. You want health care costs to come down? Then stop being one of the uninsured assholes who is just a ticking time bomb waiting to blow up yet another part of a hospital's fiscal assets. Oh, wait, you HAVE to stop being one now! And even if you refuse to, you still have to pay a fine to help cover the costs the government is going to be helping hospitals deal with for people who will still stubbornly refuse to get coverage.
Obamacare is ensuring that like it or not, you no longer can be allowed to be a parasite...something that will inevitably happen at some point in your life or another. You don't like it? Tough shit, you were in the group of people who were part of the problem to begin with. You don't get to complain about it, nor do you have the moral grounding to bitch about the health care industry costing so damn much.
It's a good fucking thing I got insured when I did, too, because if I hadn't, what ended up happening to me a couple months back would've saddled me with a pretty damn hefty medical debt. Instead of owing $10,000, though, I only had to pay $500. Not to mention another $1000 or so for psychiatric and psychological treatments that are now ongoing and likely to be a permanent, necessary staple of my life.
