I can tolerate a meaningless statement of "In God we Trust" versus a useless figurehead.

So does your money change every time a new monarch inherits?
Yup. A complete rebranding, courtesy of the tax payer's valuable money. I wish we had a system like the US. Putting old (good) leaders on your money is better than an unelected bloodline royal.

Hey, then we could have so many more famous people on our money! Darwin, Shakespeare, Newton, Dickens, Agatha Christie, Churchill, Turing, Faraday, Hawking...the list goes on!

By my count, there are 4 notes which could have 2 famous Britons on each, and 7 coins that could have 1 on each. Ahhhh...one can dream.

We have Rutherford on our $100 bill Smile

The queen is just on the back of our ones
