Except when it comes to the global flood, Amelikites, Sodom & Gomorrah, etc.
Guess you skipped over the "slow to" anger part, and didn't read down to the "those who fear him" part.

Consider the global flood. IIRC it took decades for Noah to build the ark. God was slow to anger, but the people didn't respect him despite the warning.
