First things first. Atheism is not the assertion
that a god does not exist; it is the rejection of
the assertion that a god does - which is the
assertion that theists make.
Second. I do not claim to know that a god
does or does not exist. If a god exists, and
it is demonstrable, then I would be a hypocrite
to disbelieve in what I have required evidence
for.
Atheists reject theist claims and make very
few of their own, unless backed with evidence.
