My nose is always in a book though, he would have to get in line behind the new Stephen King I am finishing, then the new Atwood, then a couple more obscure Jose Saramagos. I can appreciate your fondness of his work, and thank you for sharing that with me. I'll be to the bookstore this weekend probably, and will give it a look.
The very first quote was striking as well. Boredom is a peculiar and devastating phenomenon...
Thanks again.
Don't you know that they want you to read? You're doing exactly what they want you to do by spending your time partaking in your unhealthy hypnotic brain washing. Stephen King is one of their best psychologists, he designs his book to put ideas into your head to distract you from the truth.
Not to mention reading strains your eyes, makes you inactive and pushes you into escapism.
You're free to read if you want but some of us have more important things to do with our time. Waste it if you want being brainwashed, but i refuse to give into such meaningless and dangerous temptation. Reality is enough for me and i don't need to escape it with horror/fantasy novels.
