I understand what you are facing, to some small degree (a friend of mine is in a similar situation, though he doesn't seem to realize it just yet). Keep in mind that what is causing you the most discomfort is not the ideas about god or religion, but the social pressure being used to force you to accept beliefs you don't find convincing. No doubt those who are doing so feel no compunction whatsoever about it, because they're serving some greater purpose in their minds.
Just be thankful you live in the current day and age. There was a time when your "friends" would be putting pressure on you by torturing and ultimately killing you in order to make sure that god was happy.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
