Why would Mary's virginity be important, that has nothing to do with the message given to mankind.
You're not serious, right. The fulfillment of prophecy is extremely important to the entire plan of God, surely you can see this. With Jesus being the only man ever born to a virgin it's quite important to the life of Jesus.

It's the start to the promise that Jesus would come from the line of king David, again prophecy fulfilled, is relevant to the story, how did you miss that.

Again you are over looking prophecy and I'll say it again, fulfilled prophecy is important to God's plan. God's plan is the message.
m-g Wrote:Why would the names of the disciples be important, that has nothing to do with the message given to mankind.
They were the one's to proceed with the message and wouldn't you think knowing who they were including their names would be important. It sure bets Jesus saying, hey you or listen to what I have to say bubba, names are better.
m-g Wrote:Why would Jesus' age be important, that has nothing to do with the message given to mankind.
The age was important, at twelve it established that Jesus was extremely intelligent. At age 30 it established his priesthood. At age 33 He was crucified and resurrected. This means a ministry of three years, and How was it possible that that short a following became what it is today, 2000 years later. No other religion was established with it's leader teaching for only three years.

I wasn't saying the argument of chronology was relevant or irrelevant, I'm saying it doesn't change the story of Christ. Not writing in a chronological order is no error, why would you believe it would be. Since chronology is not a problem, even though you have talked yourself into believing so, I see no reason to believe anything in the NT is not true.
m-g Wrote:Bit of a slippery slope if you ask me.
A slippery slope for you maybe, I'm standing on the solid foundation of Christ.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
