Problem is that zombies are dumb and predictable (and in this story slow), so once the survivors learn to deal with them, they're not much of a factor. The show has become one group of people v. another group of people, with the occasional zombie attack. Last season the most ridiculous one was Andrea in the woods. It's watchable, but I wouldn't put it in the top tier.
When living in Europe, one is confronted with some of the dullest and most boring TV productions in the entire world.
Which is why we prefer the American series and probably see them as being more awsome than most Americans (who are use to them) see them.
Other than in the UK, where TV is suposedly not as dull and boring as here or in France or elsewhere.
Polands most popular TV show is a soap opera about a catholic priest and his "adventures" in his rural polish comunity. That should give you an impression about how dull watching TV here can be.
