I'm getting to be that way more and more, but then again winters 'round these parts are fairly miserable (cold and rainy) so I end up having to move running to a treadmill inside which sucks ass. The weather just turned in the last two or three weeks so I haven't been able to get outside to run, like, at all.
Quote:Move to Texas! The politics suck and the bugs are gigantic, but for 7 months out of the year, it's gorgeous running weather. Just watch for rattlers- I came on one once running (it looked like a paper bag in the road, so I ran right up on it) and nearly shit myself when it got angry at me.
What part of the world are you running in?
Oregon.
I'm actually a really picky runner: for as much as I don't like running in the rain, I hate running when it's hotter than, like, 75 degrees out even more; I get overheated really really easily and feel like crap afterwards because of the heat. For as much as I don't like it, I do regularly go out running when it's rainy (except when it's pouring and has been all day) but if it's over 75 degrees outside there's no way I will go out running.
That's why I ended up taking the summer off, it just got too hot over my lunch breaks to go running. And now that I'm out of the habit and the weather is turning cooler I've gotta get my butt in gear and start going out again. I'm thinking next summer I might try morning runs in order to keep it up over the summer and beat the heat.
Ack, I'm such a complainer.
