My kids are fully grown adults with their own homes. Frankly, it's a wonder they survived to adulthood with all those guns in the house *sarcasm*. Seriously Min, you need a new pet peeve.

Though I may regret asking, I still have a morbid curiosity, so I'll ask; If we were together in a place where a criminal pulled out a gun and threatened violence, or worse, started shooting, would you be glad that I was there, and that I am highly trained, and have my sidearm with me; or do you think I shouldn't have a gun at all?

Would you shoot first?

Great Question. If the criminal with the gun is in fact threatening to do mortal harm to myself or others, then yes indeed I would shoot first to prevent the criminal from continuing with their plan. I would do what any cop (I'm not in law enforcement) in this situation would, and I would not only be legally justified in doing so, I'd also be a hero.
