I see many anti-theists as being too cowardly to admit humanity itself is the root of all evil.
This for me hints at the deeper issues. There is a very particular brand of atheism that has emerged that I see as reactionary rather than ideological. Many of these reactionary atheists tend to be anti-theist. No offence intended to anti-theists who have a considered approach.
