I don't think so. I think the Chefs are overachieving and they won't be able to sustain it. They remind me a lot of the 2003 team, which started 9-0 and was one and done in the playoffs.
Oh, I agree that's a very likely outcome. The "wild card" comment was for luckie's benefit and aggravation.
However, it's also possible that Chiefs could be overachieving now, and still win the AFC West - their remaining schedule seems more forgiving than Denver's (not to say it will be easy - both teams have their toughest games yet to come). What will ultimately make the difference is what happens when they play each other - if there is a series sweep, little else will matter either way.
KC hasn't beaten a team that currently has a winning record, and... now that I look at it, neither have the Broncos. It's entirely possible that *both* are overperforming.
In any case, it's pretty Captain Obvious that one or the other is going to be a wild card, unless something completely unexpected happens - like the Raiders or Chargers start winning, and monkeys fly out of my butt.
