Bud, if you wanted a conversation, you'd actually converse, rather than being as smug and self congratulatory as you've been so far.
Quote:Correct, you cannot see God, no one can.
So how do you know he exists?
Quote:Clearly I'm talking to an imbecile who is not capable of processing a clear conversation without getting offended at the fact that someone can actually disprove them and show them why they cannot in actuality be a true atheist.
Perhaps you could provide this rationalization of yours? So far, all I've seen are the semi-coherent ramblings of an apologist; you see, merely claiming that the bible is historically accurate and that god is real... claims mean nothing to me. Anyone can claim anything, and often they do. You're conversing in a place where people require something they can actually consider: why not post your reasoning as to how the bible is historically accurate?
While you're at it, answer me this: does this historical accuracy extend itself to the miracle claims, supernatural workings, or specifically divine events? Or is it limited to the mundane claims? If it's the latter, there's nothing there that obligates us to believe the former too: some true things in a book do not mean every part of the book is true, and extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
Quote:It overjoys me to the fact that you are clearly an ignorant person who can make no valid points. Acting like a child, congratulations, you've shown the capacity of your mindset, which is probably at the capacity of a newborn child.
Actually, I'm trying to demonstrate to you that just making the claim that something is true, and backing it up with "you can't disprove it," isn't a great way to get things done, because people can make all kinds of unfalsifiable claims, without them being true. I tried to have some fun with it, because, believe it or not, you aren't the brilliant critical thinker you seem to believe you are; not only aren't you the first one to make these ridiculous claims, you also aren't the first one to be laughed off the forum for thinking this stuff is compelling.
If you really want to road test this stuff, why not try it out in the debate area? I offered this challenge to the last person who came up as ridiculously as you have, and she bailed rather than face me.
Quote:If YOU created the universe you would not be behind a computer screen acting like a fool making points with an ACTUAL college level thinker.
Ah, but you can't disprove it. According to the logic you've displayed here so far, that makes it true, doesn't it?
Quote: And The Bible can prove the existence of God, you on the other hand cannot disprove it, and by the little mindset that you had you probably wouldn't even come close having such thoughts.
The bible isn't evidence, kitten. The bible is your claim. Some events in Spiderman comics bear out as historically accurate, but that doesn't make Spiderman real, and I also couldn't use Spiderman comics, wherein the fiction Spiderman is a real person, as evidence that such a character really existed, could I?
Why would I extend a courtesy to god that I wouldn't extend to Spiderman?
