I should have selected both options on the poll. I both fear death and think it is a beautiful. When I became atheist, I began to appreciate life more, as I realized that my very existence would eventually disappear. Not only this but I began to appreciate the lives of others, as I know that their time is just as limited as mine.
Atheist philosophies about the value of life have helped me through my minor teen depression. Before I adopted such atheistical views, I would bawl myself to sleep at night, unable to get my mind off of suicide.
