I HAVE DISCOVERED THE FINAL COP OUT BY CHAPLAINS!!!!
I have been stubborn for an answer, so I headed over to the pastor and shared some of y'alls comments and asked my question again:
Me: "You say god doesn't intervene because of free will, then why does he intervene and hurt people to "teach us things?" Why does god use his power to kill the world, rather then feed the world?"

Pastor: "Look, God works in mysterious ways, and he sees the bigger picture, so a lot of the things he does seem weird to us, but it's all for the best. Also, instead of wondering why god doesn't do anything for you, you should ask yourself what you can do for god. Now please excuse me, I have an appointment in 8 minutes."
