There were plenty of other people in job's time who apparently didn't have a protective hedge about them.
Perhaps you should read up on the satan myth a little more comprehensively? I thought it was common knowledge among Christians that the entity exists, to rob, kill and destroy? (Jhn 10:10)

I liquidate my investments, put the cash in my living room, and put a big sign up outside that says "Lots of cash inside and doors are unlocked," because I want to prove that people are good and won't steal the money. The guy who comes in and takes it is still guilty of stealing, despite my practical invitation to do so.
I would expect better from someone with a 145 I.Q. Nevertheless let's go with your analogy making a few necessary amendments to more accurately reflect the text.
1) All investments are liquidated and placed in the house.
2) The owner of the house (God) and the local thug (satan) discuss the tenant (Job) which the owner of the house brings up to the local thug.
3) The owner of the house and the thug come to an arrangment and decides to shut off the security system so the thug can pillage, loot and plunder the house (this was all pre-arranged.)
4) The owner of the house and the thug are complicit in insurance fraud.
