I'm not rewarding you for establishing the truth of your own assertion. What do I have to gain from enticing you into preserving your own credibility?
Furthermore, how in the hell can I know what difference your evidence will make without knowing what the evidence is? If you pull out a Bible verse that says "And then the Lord said 'The Lord your God has endowed you with certain inalienable rights, among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness'" or some close variation on that theme, I have no recourse but to concede the point that those rights are inspired by Christian scripture (though, of course, I can point out how the Bible is, to put it generously, extremely inconsistent about how inalienable those rights are). If those specific rights are not enumerated in the Bible, I have every right to dispute the allegation that those inalienable rights are inspired by Christian scripture.
