Here, we have a sect that actively wants their members to live out lives of chastity and work on the behalf of their sect. I personally think they are dangerous for doing this. Turkish men and women who would normally have a family devote themselves to this dangerous philosophy which has nothing to do with religion, and do not produce children that constitute the future of the nation.
On the other hand, it means that the more gullible elements of Turkish society aren't breeding. This is not as bad as it might first seem.
No. Its not about being gullible. This occurs because those people have nothing else to turn to that will provide a meaning for their lives. So they believe in an idea that tells them that by not marrying and having children, they're actually devoting themselves to God. This is the fault of the state, for not protecting these people against charlatans, by providing a correct religious education, and secondly, not providing these people with an ideal that they can devote themselves to. Otherwise, these people are example human beings. I know quite a many of them, and they are charitable, they are moral, law-abiding, good natured people, I never ever heard them cursing. I see a pure devotion in them, however misplaced that devotion is, as its not to God but to the whims and fancies of some Old man in America.
Bring them over to nationalism, and you would have a supply of well-educated and motivated people that will serve the interests of the nation, rather than the interests of a heretical sect.
