YAY
Sure

Quote:The formal debate motion; That Christianity has done more good for humanity than harm.
Affirmative/Negative : Lion IRC (Affirmative)
Participants - Lion IRC vs Who? Just you?
Just me
Quote:Scope - Christianity/Christians as defined by Nicene theological distinctives etc.
Link sent to website which had an invalid page.
Quote: A debate contending the overall net good (or harm) to human society over the last 2000 years resulting from the presence of and adherence to biblical Christianity. The contestants will attempt to persuade the audience that their notion of good/harm consists in the position each side takes respectively.
Are you limiting the scope of wrongs done by Christianity to the Catholics only?

And I believe one holy Catholic and Apostolic Church;
Quote:Format - Heres my suggestion;
*Introduction of no more than 500 words each
No word limit
Quote:* 3 main debate posts of up to 1500 words each excluding diagrams, tables, images, etc.
No word limit--the width, breadth, and length of the wrongs perpetrated by Christianity need more than 1500 word limit
Quote:(Videos specifically excluded from debate)
Sure
Quote:* 5 question Q&A interrogatory prior to concluding remarks :
* Conclusion of no more than 500 words each
No limit
Quote:* 3 day post turnaround (72 hours to submission deadline) from their opponent's last post. No time extensions shall be allowed without the agreement of both contestants.
Does this mean I would have 3 days to answer with a post, or that the whole debate would be over in 3 days?
I would add only one more suggestion:
Sources be legitimate educational research findings and historical documentation, validated mainstream concurrence by professionals with legitimate degrees.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
