Two questions: why do you fear your father, and why isn't his ex-wife in prison?

1. Because of what he can [and has attempted] to do - and because... well, I was taught that we as children are made to fear our parents? Either way it's grown into me and won't let go.
2. Because A. she has good lawyers, B. her parent's bailed her out and C. she's a conniving, evil bitch. Unless you're talking about my mother, who he never divorced but went to jail for stealing mail. >.> and I don't know, they never found her and in the end made it so I never saw her.

I did mean the stepmother. It's too bad people like her get away with the things they do. As for your father, are you remaining vague about him on purpose? If you don't want to spill the beans about what he's capable of doing, that's totally fine, but I can tell you from experience that talking about your fears is the best way to overcome them.
