Well... it can be, and by those who complain of it: it often is. The self naturally exaggerates itself.
I become incredibly tetchy and tight-lipped when ashton goes on a rant about all of his problems, and his mother is even worse... like, to extraordinary levels. It takes every ounce of self-control I possess simply to allow it to pass my ears unquestioned, especially when I can't get away from it (my first response).
Me? I just have a hard time considering most psychological/physiological conditions to be 'illnesses' in a deeper manner than one might declare a very mild cold: only such in technicality, and hardly worth mention.
Not that anyone else was ever marginally interested in even beginning to understand precisely what an 'illness' is
