The ability to write out infinitely long numbers is irrelevant if you (a) have an understanding of the word "infinity" and (b) have a notation system for such concepts. 1.999... means quite literally "1.999 with an infinite amount of repeating 9's".

I don't claim to have a supernatural authority...and I'm quite confused as to why you've brought it up.

Please go and re-read the thread if you want proofs.

I don't want mathematical proofs! I want evidence that mathematics is real at all since you claim that 1.999... IS 2. As if this has any significance in the natural world. First of all that would mean that numbers exist in the real world. What's your evidence for that? It looks you're off into the realms of the supernatural joining the theists in fabulation.
