I read the piece of crap. I didn't bother with the satanic rituals though, after reading the satanic bible I really couldn't stomach another book by him. I've read the Lemegeton, the Greater keys, the works of Corneleus Agrippa, Paracelsus and a load of others I can't even remember - most (if not all) of the important Hermetic texts and a fair amount of other random stuff too (I was particularly amused by the ritual to sell your soul for 20k). I would've added the Sepher Raziel to that list, but all the english translations I found were bollocks and I really couldn't be arsed to go through all the hassle of translating it myself. I very much doubt that anything written by that lying douche contains anything of note, just petty psychodrama which even LaVey admitted was just bullshit that was added to try to hold the rest it together.
So yeah, I might just know more about it than you think I do. LaVey was just another self-aggrandising, media-hungry little tit with delusions of adequacy and, as I previously stated elsewhere, an unhealthy fixation with Ming the Merciless. His idea of "evil" was so camp it's not even funny, it's was pathetic. Sad, really. He would have been better off doing second rate halloween parties for kids.
