Clearly you didn't even read the Satanic Bible, as if you did you would have know that LaVey used ritual simply for emotional release. He even says in the Satanic Bible that the difference between Satanic and other religious ceremonies is that the Satanist knows his "magic" isn't actually going to do anything. Actually do your fucking research before jumping to conclusions. Actually try reading the Satanic Bible & look here as well:

Please find me a quote where he says "this shit doesn't work. It's all just bullshit we do for fun." He talks at length about magic, and goes to great lengths to explain how to do it properly including "the balancing factor" (ooOOoo) where he explains the target of your magic can't be too lofty or unattainable. What does this mean in practice? It means that magic only "works" when its more easily explainable through coincidence. If it didn't work, you must not be using the balance factor correctly. If it did "work", its definitely not a coincidence.

Have I read the whole Satanic bible? No. It's so full of errors and crap I couldn't be bothered. I only have so much time.
