THe god killed virtually everyone in the world in the Myth of the great flood - killed Lots wife for merely looking back - killed others in a Passover - and lots of other examplesGenerally, Christians make a distinction between killing and murder.
Where do you get the idea that the god thinks killing is bad? THis is clearly a case of do not do as I do - do as I say!
God gives life Baptism is our immersion in the waters of life. You must be born again. God takes the bio-mechanical body away and then places the soul in a new life. All of our lives are involution for the purpose of evolution. Rising to new life requires death and God has the authority to decide which path is best for us. In all cases, God was taking our own foolishness and raising us to higher states of being. Our current day and age is an example of both righteousness and wickedness.
Few people understand this. All stories in the Bible are parables of raising created sentient beings to righteousness and holiness. It's a process.
We are in the Mother's womb. Mother in Hebrew is Aleph Mem.

Beasts in water, two by two. Both clean (Righteous) and unclean (Wicked). Baptism is the flood and we're still in it.
God is Elohim. Lord is the Son of God. There is a difference.
Luke 3
the son of Enoch,
the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel,
the son of Kenan, 38 the son of Enosh,
the son of Seth, the son of Adam,
the son of God.
Who is the Son of God? The one being raised in the wilderness. He is the bread of life. Who are you in relation?
1 Corinthians 10
16 Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.
The cup is the womb of the mother we pass on to the next generation. The slices of the loaf (Son of God). To blast the Lord of the OT, you blast yourself. Own it and have faith in God.
