I'm very aware that I'm picking and choosing. It would be impossible to take literally everything of the bible. He simply stated that the bible didn't say that when in fact it does. I didn't say it didn't say the opposite as well. Personally I feel the verses you quoted were talking about family structure. Mine were more in the "rules section" of the Bible.
