Why do so many forum members presuppose that everyone who claims to be a Christian is one?
Repent and believe the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is forgiveness for everyone who repents. God's forgiveness does not mean there are no consequences for sin (jail, diseases, death, etc.). It does mean we are not eternally condemned.
It is not true that Christ's death is a "sin all you want" card. Repent. No one who lives a life of of willful sin is in Christ (a Christian).
1Should we sin so that grace may abound? By no means. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. (Romans 6:1-6)
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (1 John 1:6)
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. (1 John 2:4-5)

If it could be proven beyond doubt that God exists...
and that He is the one spoken of in the Bible...
would you repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus Christ?
