I just skimmed through many of the posts, and I'm sure somebody has already tried to tell Enrico that he needs to learn more about the differences between subjectivity and OBJECTivity. I don't doubt for a second that it hasn't already been pointed out that nobody expects anyone to provide evidence for love, and that such a thing is not required before one would accept that another is in love, and that such a thing has never been raised as an objection toward the actual existence with regards to the object of said love. I believe that you love God. I also believe that God exists only in your head. You don't need to prove your love, suicide bombers and the likes of those that are not as extremely loyal demonstrate that all the time. But none of those things make it clear as to whether or not the object of their love and loyalty actually exists. What I find frustrating is your inability to recognize how incapable you are at resolving that flaw. I love my son, and don't need to prove it. It is subjective, and need only be true for me in order for it to be true. However, if I want to claim him on my taxes, I need to prove he exists, and that he's my son. With regards to god, we are only interested in the latter version of the two scenarios.
When I read things like what is written in the OP, it's the same reaction every time. I sigh heavily, and resist the sudden impulse to slap my own face with the palm of my hand. Its as if some people are willfully ignorant, and from this, they derrive a sense that their artificial knowledge is worthy of the arrogance they exude while sharing it! I see stupid things like this written on facebook with 36 likes. Nonsensical dribble that is intellectually incoherent and filled with deepities. It makes me shutter to think about how many people will never be exposed to the information that is available to them, and its beyond me how we, as a societty, have been able to accomplish so many things while so many of the acheivers are simultaneously making and approving utterances such as these.
I imagine it would be very similar to making an excursion to a city in some part of the world that had never learned any kind of math. If I held a class once a day for a month, teaching only basic addition, and just as it seemed that everyone was understanding the sum of 2+2...Some villiage idiot would come along claiming he knew it was 6. I can imagine the urge of the same face-palm being perfectly justified in that scenario as well.
You see? Why do things like this still need to be said? Is there any hope for somebody that is intentionally stupid?
