Canada switched over with hardly a problem. The U.S. is just being its usual parochial, ignorant self.
Having spent a great deal of time south of the border, and a bit less to the north, I can say that making the adjustment is not really very difficult at all.
The metric system is far superior and more intuitive and it's beyond stupid that we stick with such an antiquated system.
In other words, we are in violent agreement.
