Americans: Do you favor switching to the metric system?

I grew up in the UK, and I use a mishmash of imperial and metric units. I drive 240km to Auckland, not 150 miles. I weigh 15 stone and 10, not 100kg, and so forth.
I doubt VERY much the Yanks will ever go metric, unless you count the increasing popularity of the 9mm bullet. Boru
