I like all accents, even southern ones (speaking as a northerner). I realized from having southern classmates that I do not like slow talkers and it has nothing to do with having an accent (the southern accent, unfortunately, is mainly portrayed through a slow speaker on TV).
That being said, New Hampshire never struck me as a place with a very pronounced accent compared to the rest of new england. I'm amazed it bothers anyone
