When people are representing a belief or lack thereof, they are responsible for the reception. Some religious people have been tempered to believe that atheism, agnosticism and anyone not mono/polytheistic are going to be arrogant, mean spirited, bitter and "know-it-all's". There are relevant reasons for this, just like there are relevant reasons for non-religious folk feeling the same prejudice toward religious.
This kind of shallow thinking is what's furthering the discrimination against non-religious people.
So essentially, we should be responsible for other people's incorrect prejudices?
