For what reasons? Am I wrong to assume your use of incense was of the neo-pagan variety mentioned in the article? If so, what were the results? Can others reliably experience the same results?

And how do you know you weren't just mind-fucking yourself into believing the results you sought were obtained? How can we be sure you're not indulging in confirmation bias?
