However, I think genes pale in comparison to the effect of the environment, how the dog is treated etc. If a pitbull is treated well, it is no more likely to be aggressive than any other dog. The only reason pitbulls are demonised is because they are used in dog fighting and they are actually capable of seriously hurting other people. There is no campaign to ban any of the little yappy dogs are there?Total bullshit.
If a pitbull is treated the same as any other dog it is more likely to attack children/people/other dogs. What the fuck makes you think that "treated well" makes a difference to that? Ie a pitbull "treated well" is as safe as any other dog also "treated well"? That's your claim??
And don't try coming back with "number of bites" because there are plenty of breeds that if they bite they do not inflict any lasting harm versus pitbull and their savage bite. This is true of a German Sheppard that was owned by a neighbour - it bit two people. But it wasn't savage the bite did barely anything, and both times the people deliberately provoked it - and I can attest to that as a witness. It certainly was not the aggressor. One of guy's it bit even provoked it after being warned not to. Then it bit a third person that I didn't witness, after that it was put down by the rangers. As far as I know about the third bite it was not savage either, it didn't tear any flesh.
