My sister has told the kids that they can't come out until they stop crying, but they'll still be crying ten minutes later.
Yeah they've gotten mad at me for punishing the kids myself. partly because I'm not a very mature adult, and I've been told that unless I "act my age", I can't discipline the kids. Not that they want me spanking them anyway.
My sister has never come at me with a weapon. I don't think that would end well for her. She slapped me once for whacking her daughter on the butt, but if she raised something heavy I wouldn't just take it.
You know one of the most annoying things is that whole "demand an apology, despite that I'm obviously not sorry, but I need to pretend anyway". I don't like lying, especially if it's to make someone I'm mad at feel better.
