Well, in that case, that hypothetical customer has made a category error, though I suppose one could make an argument for cultural Catholicism, in a sense. But my point is that to go down the line and start doubting people's claims as to their affiliation based solely on biblical knowledge or any other thing but belief in god would be to give short shrift both to the faith claims of your own religion, and to the act of discourse, because so often when somebody says "you aren't a christian, you were just told you were growing up," what they mean to say is "you aren't representing christianity the way I'd like, and so you must not be."
