If they were open wounds and not scars as described, jesus would have been a Zombie walking around all gross and rotten.
Actually, I have yet to develop a scar in mere three living, breathing days, however light or serious the wound.
The stupidity lies not in detailed reading of a fairytale, but in expecting inconsistency in detail to daunt those with the intellectual integrity to regard "making it up as they go" to support a preconceived, religious notion to be both the highest form of piety and a good thing to boot.
