You who post on this forum needs to focus on promoting secularism in where you live (I use the word as it pertains to government instead of what you might be thinking of merely distancing oneself from religion; I come from a government background in terms of education, so I apologize if you thought my use of secularism was closer to its definition of being irreligious).
Aha, now we're talking! As a humanist, I still can't give 24h for altruistic causes, but the time spent here is not a waste, but a resource. For me it's a way to reach out in the world, compare ideas, get the occasional reality check and a way to relax when I need some respite from the physical world. As for promoting secularism, I am currently hatching an idea, but it's not ripe yet. Have a few kinks to work out.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
