Apparently. I live in Alabama, and this kind of stuff didn't happen in the schools I went to. Granted there was the pledge of allegiance, but once we were in the classroom, there was nothing like this. We learned things like where rain comes from, and why my ice tea keeps getting wet outside the glass on a hot day. Actual science.
