More assumptions, why do meat eaters always devalue the cognitive experiences of animals? Evidence suggests not only do rats have episodic memory(ie be able to thing about and remember discrete events in the past) they are also able to make mental representations of the future.
You are assuming you know something that you don't. Why do vegans think they know about animals because they don't eat them?
You have misunderstood what I wrote. If you understood the behavior of animals you would know what I meant. I went to college to learn the science of animal behavior. I'm not making assumptions on this. It is true that animals do not have the same range of emotions as we do. Animals do remember things, so of course they will remember how they got food.
