Of course, some non-Christians eschew modern medicine in favor of superstition. I don't think anyone would say this practice is purely a Christian phenomena. I would say that most people on these boards would agree that doing so is incredibly stupid and, in the case of denying medical care to your sick child in favor of "prayer", downright criminal.
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.

God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?
