Putting meat on a salad.
Raisins in granola.
When sci-fi consists completely of fiction with no actual science. (Star Trek replicators, for example. Physically impossible.)
When something sci-fi suddenly explains something that happened as "magic." Lazy!

My pet peeve are people who's pet peeve is grammer and spelling.
