Me, I'm still far more concerned with the context that the term is used than I am with the term itself. Call me a shemale all you want, as long as you're attempting to be respectful, I'm cool with you.
(although, generally speaking, 'shemale' is considered a sex-industry term and an insult to the overwhelming majority of trans women, so it should probably be avoided. But, hey, context still matters).
