Agreed, but give it time. I didn't believe they could make a decent series of 'DUNE' but they did. I quite liked it. To be honest though, I always thought Herbert should have quit after the first book.

I'd love to see series made of some of Heinlein's work,such as 'Stranger In A Strange Land". I've always lusted after 'Gay Deceiver'. (' The Number Of The Beast') I love Heinlein's satire of religion.


Just about anything by Doc Smith would translate well to a series today. (Star Wars is essentially a space opera,and owes a lot to Smith)
