If, big if, you believe in God, it's a fringe benefit. Or maybe it's the actual deal.

Well the Christian god certainly isn't a fan of perfect justice. He would condemn an honest, gentle, loving, faithful human to eternal torment just for not believing in his existence and not accepting his sacrifice of Jesus because of insufficient evidence.

On the other hand a mass murderer and rapist could repent later in life after destroying thousands of lives and live for an eternity in bliss. Even if he never even paid anything at all for his crimes in his short, earth bound existence.
