Look at the other 5-6 threads this guy's started, from "I'm not leaving until I convert someone" or "One last attempt to get through to you guys." We think this guy's either a kid or a poe, either way his answer to everything is "how can my parents and everyone be wrong/lying to me." At some point we get bored...

Nope. There is no way to ensure that your son doesn't fear the everlasting torment designed to keep him in fear for his lifetime. There is only one recourse. Teach him to always question. Everything. Even you. This will backfire on you a couple of times, but will help him to be skeptical and inquisitive. He's going to be exposed to the fairy tale, but you can expose him to rational, intellectual honesty. One thing I know from a friend of mine who was in a similar situation, you have to have a conversation with him about how to deal with the dichotomy. My friend had a daughter that would go to her mother and say "Well dad said..." and he lost custody of his daughter on the weekend. (This was in FL, though, so...) If you teach him to explore these things he's being exposed to, and not just trust whoever tells him something crazy, he'll be fine. Even if he ends up believing in god.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
