The fact that people speak with fervent sincerity of their beliefs adds zero credibility to those beliefs.
Not to get too repetitive, almost 70% of the world's population speak just as fervently and sincerely about their beliefs. Yet, you have no problems not believing them. And the sad part is, you seem to disregard their beliefs for most of the right reasons, but you make all these special cases for just your beliefs.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
