I too was once a christian, heck I was even studying to become a pastor. More than 5 years (20 years actually) of reading, praying and studying. See where that brought me? I had "experiences" with god, but now I know it was just a figment of my imagination. The mind is more powerful than you're aware of (I say this, because I can guess that your parents won't let you read or research anything that might contradict christianity), and is capable of great deceit.
Mommy and daddy don't know everything, even though they might want you to believe they do. Just because daddy is so passionate and how he says things makes you believe, that doesn't mean he's not wrong.
I'm a god, and I command you to pray to me, and listen to me. I can give you proof that I'm god. Can I arrange a visit to your house? I can also do miracles, all with the power of my own mind. Am I the devil? I heal children from life threatening illnesses. Am I a bad person?
